We welcome everyone to join us for our first ever Long Island TOCNYS event!

We'll meet at the Valley Stream, NY Supercharger starting at 8:30 AM, then at 9:30 we'll caravan to Richard L. Brooks Memorial Park, about a 45-minute drive south.

This "park" is actually a large parking lot informally known to locals as OBI East, where car enthusiasts gather every Sunday to show off their rides against a beautiful ocean backdrop.

Bring or come in your bathing suit if you want to take a dip. Porta-potties are available.

Afterwards, we can drive a couple of miles east to Captree State Park Boat Basin, where there is a restaurant and other facilities, including a fishing pier and fishing charters.

    Hope to see you there!

    What:

National Drive Electric Week is a week-long event that happens in cities all across the United States. NDEW was started many years ago with the goal of raising awareness of electric vehicles. It is a showcase where current electric vehicle owners show off their cars and, at some events, dealers provide test drives to show the public the many benefits of going all electric. The event is open to EV owners, their guests, and the public.

After you register* and complete a short survey, you'll be entered to win $250.

    Where:

It will be held in the parking lot of Press Bay Alley located at 118 W. Green St. Ithaca, NY 14850.

    When:

    Saturday September 14th 2019

    T-shirts!:

We are having a limited run of "Ithaca is Electric" t-shirts made. Shirts have been ordered and after the pre-orders have been filled we will have around 10 left of various sizes. Price for Sm, Med, Large and XL are $19 each. XXL and larger sizes can be ordered and potentially even made the same day over at T-Shirt Express on the Commons. We only make a couple bucks on each shirt but it will help cover event costs.

If you are interested in displaying your vehicle, we are going to have a parade before the event. We will all meet in the parking lot at Walmart at 10 am. We will depart at 10:20 and we will all drive to West State St together. If you cannot meet us at Walmart before 10:30, please proceed directly to the event on West State St.

    About event organizer:

Evolv-Electric Transportation, Inc. was organized to raise awareness of the environmental, socio-cultural and health impacts of air pollution from mobile sources such as diesel-powered school buses. Our mission is to promote and expand the use of zero-emission vehicles in medium and heavy-duty fleets and mass transit, especially for pupil transportation. Our Electric School Bus Campaign has been successfully been championing Introductory Bill 455 in the NYC Council to require the NYC Dept. of Education to require their contractors to supply zero-emission school buses. The bill should be passed by Earth Day 2019.

You can follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube.
