Thanks for the speedy revision to the Google info, Anthony!

I can't speak for the food from CF, but yes--next month's local meetup can be at Chargetowaga for sure.

Would alternating between there and Eastern Hills be reasonable? (Clarence even months, Cheektowaga odd)

Thanks for testing these tonight John! Can't wait to try out the new v3 speeds!!

I checked Google maps and it was listed as a gas station? To which it seems from the reviews someone went there looking for gas?

I've gone ahead and submitted the necessary edits:

    • Tesla Supercharger
    • 8 stalls(for now)
    • 250kw
    • Tesla only connector
    •  added your photos
    •  repositioned the pin to be more accurate

Suggestion: Next months meetup can be at this location. I'm digging the close proximity to the Chick-fil-A

Another round of applause to member Anthony C. for the intelligence on this: “Chargetowaga” is up and running as of this weekend.

Luckily the parking area seems large enough to accommodate parked Teslas without too much fuss. Be careful of Panera patrons using the Supercharger spots to make a U-turn into the drive-thru lane. Also, the dumpsters that were in question look to be angled away from the closest parking spots, even though the stalls angle toward them.

Snow removal was fair. The one sideways pedestal—oddly positioned if the site planner had a trailer in mind, since the cable wouldn't reach a nose-in Tesla—is far enough from the snowplow created snowbank to avoid damage. Still, today it needed to be dug out to allow anyone to park at the next normal station (see attached photo).

They are indeed the V3 stations, and you can definitely hear the coolant circulating through the (thinner) cables. The pumps run nonstop, positioned within the upper right corner of the pedestals!

So far, only eight stations are installed. It seemed there would be ten.

And yes, the Supercharger location does appear on your car’s MCU. Just not on the Tesla.com site . . . yet!

That is more good news! Thanks!

My hope is that one day in the not too distant future there will be  1000 times more Tesla Supercharger Pedestals than ICE CARS AND TRUCKS! No more ICING or waiting!

Hat tip to member Anthony C. for the lead on this brand-new installation of ten, count 'em, 10 Supercharger pedestals in Cheektowaga, NY. One is off to the side (potentially for trailer access, but it can't possibly accommodate one without blocking others, strangely enough).

The location is directly across from the main entrance to Walden Galleria, nestled behind Panera Bread on Duke Road.

It wasn't possible to get access to all the stations but the one checked was 175 kW.

As for an opening date, the installer said he wasn't able to give any information.

We'll see how the siting of this cluster of stations works out. To run the conduit, they had to narrow the already limited-width pavement directly across from the Panera drive-thru lane. Not to mention across from the group of dumpsters, bound to be complicated if regular Tesla vehicles (let alone a Cybertruck) are parked while a garbage truck tries to jockey into position. . . .

Snowplowing could also be an issue.

On the bright side, we will finally have another option directly off I-90 to lessen the load of the original Clarence Supercharger.

As Anthony added, before long we'll have another option for our Second Saturday at the Supercharger meetups!

See you soon in Chargetowaga ;-)
