Hey Kaveh Pazdelthe Plug Share app shows the Harbor Hotel in downtown Watkins Glen has 2 Chargepoint stations (J-1772).  I called the hotel and confirmed they are up and running.  They have a great bar and restaurant (only take out at the moment) and the view of the lake is pretty nice!

There's also a ChargePoint and a Tesla Destination charger at the FLX "Wienery" as in hot dogs, not wine.

You could also charge just enough to be sure you can get to Ithaca to supercharge.

You could take route 14 North along the West side of the lake, to Geneva and then connect to the Thruway at exit 42; or from Geneva head west on 20 to Canandaigua and then on up to Victor and Rochester.

    Hello All,

We've been to a few track days, but never with an EV.  Our concern is over charging. We plan to enter both events. We would arrive from Rochester with slightly more than half charge and will also need to make it back home after the events. The two closest Supercharger locations are about 24 miles away.

Does anyone have any thoughts on a strategy ?

We have an Model 3 LR RWD

    Thanks

I realize the 2019 Green Grand Prix is not about speed but for those interested in how to prep your Model 3 for a day at the track this is a great resource: https://www.mountainpassperformance.com/track-day-guide/

I'd love to attend!  I've been dreaming of running my Tesla at the Glen since I picked it up two months ago.  I have the dual motor model 3.  I've been going to the track for races since I was 10 years old, so getting to drive on it would be a dream come true.  Please let me know how I can help out.

Would love to drive the Glen as ive watched (on tv) many NASCAR Sprint Cup series races from there. Have also driven Pocono Raceway in a cup car, but would enjoy track time in my red P3D. Meeting owners will also be a plus as there are only a few downstate on Long Island. Hope to see everyone there...

This is the official place for TOCNYS members to discuss & coordinate for the 2019 Green Grand Prix at Watkins Glen International Speedway.

The goal is that at least one of each Tesla model would be represented at the event!

For more information about the event see the:

NOTE: Make sure to read the rules of the event. This is a competition based on energy consumption rather than speed. There is a speed limit of 60mph!
