    Hello finger Lakes region!

Covid is really killing our meet ups!  We were pretty excited about meeting  at the Henrietta Service Center on the 28th. We wanted to celebrate and thank the employees for everything they do for us and also to celebrate them becoming a gallery with some food in the parking lot. Unfortunately, after speaking with Tesla corporate,  Covid rules and some other factors are not allowing us to meet and  they cannot accommodate us. I’m sorry for the short notice but we were trying to fit this in at the last minute.

Additionally, the annual Christmas party will not be happening this year either. We do have some very exciting events coming up in early December, but I will keep you in suspense until the official post comes out. Save December 12th on your calendar. 10 AM to 2 PM!

Wishing all of you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving. Any questions please reach out!

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Unfortunately, due to some extenuating circumstance, we did not have our September meetup this past Saturday.  We do have an event for this Saturday, October 3rd at Hunt Country Vineyards.  If you do not have plans this weekend, be sure to sign up.

I did in fact confirm this weekend that we will be trying again to go back to Watkins Glen.  I say trying because we have to take the weather into account as most of you know that we got rained out in August.  The date will be October 24th at noon so save the date.  An official event will be posted on the website soon.

Happy Monday everyone! I’m sure most of you are still upset that our Watkins Glen event got canceled. I have to tell you that nobody is more upset than I am. I was so excited to see everyone and excited to speed around that raceway.

There is a slight chance that we will be able to do it again this year. I am working with the event coordinator and trying to set something up for possibly October now.

Keep your eyes open for two separate events coming up. Our normal meet up on the fourth Saturday of the month which is the 26th (location still to be determined) and a separate event coming up on October 3rd.

    Hi Saban,

Yes, that’s perfectly fine. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday.

I have a question on the number of people we can bring in our cars to take the 3 laps.  My good friend is coming along as my guest, but we would like to bring our two teenage sons with us, so we would have a total of 4 people in my duel motor model 3.  Is that alright?

SAVE THE DATE....AUGUST 29TH AT NOON!

Watkins Glen International Raceway . That’s where we are going to be on the 29th taking three laps around the course! As you know, we normally meet the fourth Saturday of each month, but the raceway could not do the 22nd.

Keep your eyes open as there will be more details to follow.

Hey Finger Lake members! Just wanted to remind everybody to get out and sign up for meeting our Buffalo friends in Batavia  for ice cream on the 25th. We are basically right next to each other and it’s a nice opportunity for us to meet some members of another club.

Also, for all you golfers out there, remember to sign up for our Tesla golf tournament on August 2nd at Reservoir Creek in Naples. Yes, it’s quite a way down there, but it’s a beautiful place and a beautiful drive.

Our next event is just over a week away on the 27th. If you are on the fence about coming, just know that we are going to have a model Y live and in person thanks to Bo Jaynes that just received it this past week. Thanks again, Bo and I cannot wait to finally see what one looks like other than on a video.

Anthony, so glad you enjoyed yourself and I too recognized the enthusiasm which was great to see! I think people are just really itching to get out of their homes. Can’t thank you guys enough for making the road trip.

Interesting data that you attached. I’m also impressed that your average speed was 60 mph and you were able to do that in one of our amazing fast vehicles!

I think it’s cool that I got you thinking about a new drone. Hope to see you at the next event.

Rick. You and the Rochester group put on quite the event yesterday! Great to meet the members of your chapter and I sure learned a lot about your drone! I think you have me itching to replace my behemoth with one of the smaller units like yours!!

I'm beyond impressed with the enthusiasm for the group to come out and mingle despite these strange times!

Looking forward to the next event!

I recently added teslafi so I've attached the drive data just in case anyone is interested! I averaged about 250 Wh/m round trip in my Dual Motor. Not too shabby!

I know you and I briefly talked about Mercedes and their "Autopilot" like tech. Lane center, auto lane change etc. Here's a great video that also shows similar functions offered by Lexus as well. Why only Tesla gets the press I have no idea but as a car enthusiast of all brands I like to educate whomever I can that Tesla isn't the only one doing these things. https://youtu.be/f4ZJh5n4BXQ

BMW also offer's a key fob that can "summon" the vehicle backwards and forwards like Tesla does. I forgot to mention that when we were talking about FSD and the absurd 7-10k upgrade fee for a system of features that is lack luster at best currently
