At this time I am just a forum "friend" while waiting for my first Tesla- Model Y.  That said, Fishkill, NY is getting a 12 stall supercharging station; I'm posting the link below to the discussion and latest pictures via the TMC.

Though its not open yet (looks like it just needs cleanup and inspections)- might be a good central location to meet- besides downtown Fishkill you are right next door to Beacon.  If you're looking for views, you can go to the Dia Beacon (Modern Art Museum ), you have Mt Beacon in Fishkill/Beacon, and with a 25 min north drive to Poughkeepsie you can go to the Walkway over the Hudson.

BTW- the Dia Beacon Museum has free admission the last Sun of every Month: "Hudson Valley residents receive free admission to Dia:Beacon on the last Sunday of each month. The Hudson Valley encompasses the following counties: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Saratoga, Schenectady, Sullivan, Ulster, Washington, and Westchester." https://www.diaart.org/program/archive/hudson-valley-free-day-special-event-2019-02-24

Just a thought.  Here are some more links:

Hopefully someone is thinking about another event.... the last one was fun and great to meet so many other owners in the area.

I everyone, Tesla owner from Mass here...if I came to this Bear Mountain EVent I would have to stay after 12:30 to make the 2 plus hours of driving one way worth it. By the looks of it the mountain has some great views. Looking forward to meeting Tesla owners in your state. Been a HUGE fanboy of Tesla since 2013, friends with Know You Know Zac and Jesse, own stock, been to many car events spreading the EV gospel, you all get it.....

    Hi Joe, Corey,

I'm unable to make the Bear Mountain one later that month, and would urge the organizers to reconsider the drive up to the top.

It's a bit 'meh' (very technical term) and not great for a caravan of even just a few cars - no place to park up there and not that fun to drive up or down.

Much better to meet @ Croton-on-Hudson dam park across the river or the giant Harriman State park parking lot further south (Anthony Wayne Recreation Area) and if anything consider doing some twisty runs off of 7 lakes drive (by Tiorati lake).

Then perhaps driver over to the Hibachi grill (Gasho) just a stones throw from Woodbury Commons. Update: seems its permanently closed now.

Lots of options in the area.

Hi Cory, for this thread we're just talking about a simple, monthly-occurring meetup, rather than a standalone event like the Bear Mountain Meetup & Drive. Members could always take a drive after one of the meetups - I was just thinking of something simple to start (like getting together for a meal) to keep the planning overhead low.

I’ll suggest the new Supercharger location in Yorktown Heights, NY. There are frequent car meetups there and....there will be a new Supercharger location. You can then take a great ride over the Goat Trail (fantastic drive -  Rt. 6W on the way to the Bear Mountain Bridge). You could end the ride at Bear Mountain, another great location, however, there is a charge for parking.
