Paint defect

I stopped a local Tesla service center in Georgia a few months ago and pleaded with them to give me a couple dabs of paint. They initially weren't that helpful because "I was trying to get free stuff" until I explained to the tech that the pearl white paint touch up kit was not sold by them. He then had to go on the website to look and was dumbfounded that it was no listed.

Eventually he gave me a few drops in a bottle and its been sitting in my basement since. I was looking at the other kits, the technique to apply it etc. Once it warms up I will give it a go to try to apply it, I do have few spots on my front bumper and one on the rear from where I kissed a chair in my garage.

I have kinda gave up on trying to keep it perfect as I am in the market to replace it with something else. I have had 6 or 7 warranty claims in less than 6k miles so I am not happy with the track record, teslas slow reaction to service, and just overall experience.

That's terrible Anthony. Did you ever get your paint problem resolved through an after-market product?

I've had my car a few months now, I drive it occasionally so it's taken me some time to identify some issues. Most recently I've noticed 2 small spots on the top of the drivers fender where it appears some layers of paint are missing.

Tesla has denied this as a claim due to the car having over 100 miles on it. About 2 weeks ago(4 months into ownership) they repaired a paint issue on this same fender because the "pearl" layer was missing. It was white and cleared over but missing the sparkle. I don't understand why that was fixed but this has been denied.

It looks like the paint was contaminated before it could dry. I'm at a loss here that this is acceptable to them....
