EVs, Tesla, and TOCNYS Well-Represented on July 4th

"Hey look, those are Teslas!"..."Those cars are all electric"..."Wow, they're so quiet!"

Comments like these were often heard on Main Streets in both Fairport and Canandaigua this past Thursday as their respective 4th of July parades were in session.

TOCNYS had the honor of cooperating with other EV owners to participate in both parades this year. Special thanks here to Megan Sperber who helped organize the EV participation in Fairport and Chris Glattly of Glattly Pianoforte who did the same in Canandaigua.

Fortunately, the weather cooperated nicely as it was a beautiful day, though I'm sure there were a few sunburns were taken home along with the candy.

As most parades go, the experience was a lot of waiting at first during lineup, but it's hard to be too bored when one is hanging out with other Tesla enthusiasts and surrounded by a practicing marching band here and 80-year-old classic cars there.

But before we knew it, the displays, floats, and vehicles started being released in intervals - the parade was underway!
